Are you a talented Software Engineer with a passion for building applications that make a real-world impact? Do you want the chance to see your work come to life at some of the world’s biggest events – from UFC fights and Formula 1 races to global music tours and comedy shows ? If so, this could be your next adventure.
I’m working exclusively with a pioneering technology business that’s transforming live event security, access, and accreditation worldwide. They’re expanding their Software Application Engineering team and are looking for a bright, adaptable engineer to join them.
The Opportunity
This is not just another coding job. You’ll be:
- Designing and developing software applications – front-end and back-end.
- Building intuitive web portals and applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React , plus HTML, CSS, and SQL .
- Working with REST APIs and occasionally supporting legacy systems (a little jQuery, PHP middleware – but don’t worry, no active dev there).
- Helping to transition systems from old to new platforms.
- Collaborating with a tight-knit team of 5 engineers and 5 project managers.
- Getting hands-on exposure to projects at global events – with around 35% travel , mainly in spring and summer, for that “last mile” integration.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Travel the world – from sports to music to comedy, your work takes you behind the scenes of the most exciting live events.
- Grow your skills – with mentorship, paid-for training, and exposure to cutting-edge event technology.
- Balance – hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home), plus additional pay and expenses covered when on-site.
- Progressive interview process – fair, transparent, and modern (including the option to use AI in the technical interview).
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to tick every box, but ideally you’ll bring:
- Strong JavaScript skills, with the ability to learn TypeScript and React .
- Solid grounding in HTML, CSS, SQL queries, REST APIs .
- An engineering mindset – able to solve problems, adapt, and work hands-on with clients.
- A willingness to travel internationally.
The Package
- Salary: £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working: 3 days in-office (Letchworth), 2 days from home .
- Travel pay and full expenses covered.
- Career development opportunities within a forward-thinking, global company.
If you’re excited by the idea of combining software engineering with the buzz of international live events, I’d love to tell you more. Apply now and let’s explore whether this could be the perfect next step for you.
