Power BI Developer

My client requires an experienced  Power BI Consultant for an initial 3 month contract  to lead the migration of reports, datasets, and dashboards following a recent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit and document existing Power BI assets in the source tenant
• Migrate reports, datasets, workspaces, and gateways to the destination tenant
• Reconfigure data sources, refresh schedules, RLS, and workspace permissions
• Automate SQL scripts
• Use  SQL  for data validation, connection logic, and dataset troubleshooting
• Leverage  Azure Data Factory (ADF)  to support data movement or orchestration where needed
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to ensure a seamless transition

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with 'lifting and shifting'  Power BI reports
• Solid working knowledge of  SQL, SQL Server and   Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Experience configuring  data gateways ,  Row-Level Security (RLS) , and workspace governance
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
