- Job Purpose
|
| The Head of Delivery – Data Transformation will be accountable for the successful delivery of a single enterprise data platform and data products for the group as well as the seamless migration of existing data assets and pipelines to the platform. This role will ensure the delivery meets business requirements, adheres to time, quality, and budget constraints, and aligns with organizational strategies for data transformation.

- Core Responsibilities
|
Own and deliver the data roadmap
:
- Oversee the design, build, and implementation of the groups single data platform to ensure operational readiness.
- Work collaboratively with data product owners on the objectives and deliverables required.
- Drive the data migration programme, ensuring minimal disruption to existing business processes.
- Manage multiple workstreams, including inbound demand from other business areas, to ensure effective prioritization and timely delivery.
Stakeholder Management
:
- Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring the platform aligns with strategic business objectives.
Program Governance
:
- Develop and implement a robust governance framework to monitor progress and mitigate risks.
- Manage and maintain the project RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log.
- Regularly report program status to leadership, ensuring transparency in delivery metrics.
Delivery Excellence
:
- Ensure the delivery of the platform is on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and technology partners, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans for implementation.
Change Management
:
- Oversee change control procedures to manage evolving requirements and scope changes effectively.
- Deliver a robust training and enablement programme to support users transitioning to the new platform.
Risk Mitigation
:
- Identify and address potential risks, creating contingency plans to minimize disruption.
- Drive implementation of risk mitigation strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
Line Management:
- Ensure that you and your team fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do;
- Ensure that you and your team fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed;
- Maintain the company’s compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations;
- Line manage and coach all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment.

- Experience Requirements
|
- Extensive previous experience
of project / programme management including Agile experience is essential
- Robust previous experience
of working in data transformation focused roles is essential
- Proven experience of cloud migrations is essential

- Knowledge Requirements
|
- A strong knowledge of data migration strategies / approach is essential
- A strong knowledge of data solutions is essential
- A strong understanding of high level business processes is essential
- Understanding of data related regulation including BCBS239 / IRB is desirable
|
- Skill and Competency Requirements
|
- Strong programme management skills is essential
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement is essential
- Ability to build strong professional customer-centric relationships at all levels of the organisation is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex data issues and architectures clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders is essential.
- Ability to present to senior committees is essential.
- Good listening skills are essential

- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively is essential
Flexible approach and attitude is essential

- Required Qualifications/Certifications
|
- GSCE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English are essential
- Formal qualification in programme management (e.g. Prince2, MSP or PMP)
